点评:Last night my husband and I had a date night and chose to dine where we have not eaten before. We heard about Death and Taxes and decided to try it. The menu on line looked different and interesting. When we were seated, our sever ( Kaleb) came to the table and gave us briefing of how the food is farm fresh and much of it is smoked. The service there is impeccable. Before taking our order, we were asked about if either of us had any allergies that the chef should be aware of.
I ordered the SeaBass and my husband ordered the Porkloin. We also had a side of their special bread and a side of brussels sprouts, yes smoked with almonds and apples. The portions are a nice size. Not overwhelming. We could not believe how delicious everything was. The porkloin was cooked to perfection and the bass was moist with a slight smokey flavor. The brussels sprouts were incredible.So much so that we took home what we didn't finish. We never take leftover vegetables home.
We were so full, but I had to try a dessert. My husband refused but I ordered the Creme Brulee. It is prepared with roasted peaches and raspberry sorbet. I requested not to have the sorbet. When it was served to me, I took a taste and could not get over how flavourful it was. My husband took a bite and needless to say he helped me finish it.
It was one of the best meals we have ever had.
By the way the staff really works together as a team. It was refreshing to see.
