点评:We went on a Monday afternoon, and it was not crowded. We were eager to observe the changes made to the popular trail. The first change you notice is the wide, gravel trail. The loose gravel was noisy and not pleasant to walk on (hope gravel is temporary). The trail to the falls is actually not finished and requires a somewhat steep and slippery detour about 2/3rds of the way. When you get to the falls you see a massive staircase with signs indicating that the stairs to the upper falls are the equivalent of climbing a 30-story building. Be warned! We did take the stairs and thought the views were nice. The stairs are very strenuous so probably won't do them again. The upper falls are pretty, but the area is still under construction with equipment and some unsightly trash around. We didn't realize that the whole project was not completed. We used to hike here frequently, but we find the recent changes unappealing for regular hikes. We simply prefer a more natural setting.
