点评：I booked a trip for my teenage sons, by brother-in-law and adult nephew for the morning of July 11. The captain called the night before and said that there was some rain in the area but that it should be relatively calm. He also said that if anything changed he would call me before our scheduled departure. When we arrived, there was no mention that the seas would be rough. Once we were out of the inlet, we were immediately hit by rough seas, and for the next five hours it was misery. While getting to the trolling grounds, one of our group needed to use the head but was told it was out of order. He had to sit on a bucket instead while getting pelted with spray and trying not to fall over. Shortly afterwards two guys got seasick and it only got worse when we started trolling in what I would guess was 5 foot seas. We trolled for almost two hours without a fish but a lot of puke. We then came back in closer for some bottom fishing that produced a few fish the size of my hand. At about the time we had to head back, the sun started peeking through and the seas were fairly flat. We received a “sorry” it wasn’t good fishing when we got back and had to fork over $1100. No fish, two sick guys and pooping in a bucket wasn’t what we had in mind when we booked this charter. I know there’s no guarantee when you book these fishing trips, but this was a miserable experience for everyone and a good captain should’ve known it would not be a morning to go out. Really wish he would have called that morning to cancel or reschedule, but he just took my money and went on to the next one. My family comes to OIB every year, but I won’t be going fishing with Captain Austin (or Joe) again.
