Counting House的点评
点评：We go to the DPAC from time to time to see shows. We come from Greensboro so about an hours drive which makes it difficult to squeeze a nice dinner in between. We got tickets to see Dave Chapelle and I chose Counting House as it is high end and near the DPAC. We arrived at 6:20 for a 6:15 reservation, so plenty of time to make the 8 o'clock show.
We ordered just mains and a cocktail for my wife. The drink took about 20 minutes while the meal took an hour from the time we arrived. Our server was brand new and was one of two for the whole restaurant. We were told that the delays were due to their food-runner calling in sick but honestly, one person down doesn't account for the poor service.
Then to add insult to injury, they offered free dessert to the table next to us but nothing for us and the long delay. Sixty minute ticket times are not acceptable. We were not made aware of any staffing issues in the back of the house so the long waiting time is unexplainable.
