点评:I wanted to do something special to commemorate the summer solstice. So on this, the longest day of the year, I went to Ronni’s for chicken wings.
I rarely, if ever, have gone to an establishment if its reputation is based, mainly, on its chicken wings. The only place I can recall going to, for that reason, would’ve been Dead Freddie’s in Baltimore, Maryland, where the staff warned you, you were better going with their second hottest sauce rather than the hottest!
My server helped me to pick the seasoning for my wings, a hot Korean sauce. It did what all good, hot, chicken wings should do: numb my lips, burn the roof of my mouth and make my nostrils feel like they’re on fire! however, the most surprising thing was how succulent these wings were!
I’ve read some of the prior reviews and I’ll agree with the fact that it is small and tends to get crowded easily. I was amazed that I was seated within 10 minutes of walking in. if you’re expecting ambience, this is not the place. The surroundings are perfect for those who frequent it often. (most of my fellow diners were either families with small children who were sharing pizza or adults who were quietly demolishing baskets of wings) or for people who just really want good chicken wings, and/or pizza.
I may go back sometime to try the pizza. I will definitely go back to do the wings!
