点评:Going to begin by singing its praises
- Seriously fabulous Tents - Large spacious, huge King/Queen comfy bed, with view to die for (sunrise and daylight when blinds are raised), tastefulyl decorated, sofas and easy chairs, desk, wardrobes, bath (free-standing), In & Out Showers, Loo (of course), easy walk to main Camp, Bar and Restaurant, but beware Wildlife can & did walk between the tents - Leopard & Elephants - escort during dusk & dark hours is essential
- In Camp service was exemplary - meals, beverages, waiters etc
- Food was top notch, so Condiments to the Chef.
Facts:
- The National Park at this time of year is dry to bone-dry, so dusty and rock hard - driving is tough and requires some care. We believed off-roading was NOT Allowed, but it was done constantly.
- Approx 3 Hrs drive (quite tough too) from Iringa, the nearest sizable Town
Issues:
- We arrived 14.00'ish on Day 1 & found No Guide & No Vehicle available till approx 18.30, by which time it was nearly dark, and we were warned 'Night Drives are a waste of time'. So NO Safari Drive or Activity of any sort on Day 1. Their Only Guide and Only Vehicle were busy elsewhere. We were the Only Guests & had booked months ago - go figure
- Day 2 (assumed as some form of apology) was an All-Day Safari with picnic lunch. Every Sighting was prefaced by frantic mobile calls & messages (getting more precise directions it appeared)
- Lunch picnic was good.
- Vehicle was in a shocking state & the noise from everything that rattled, clanged and shook was dreadful. Vehicle Maintenance Dept is definitely Under Budget. a little lubrication and some rubber studs would make a massive difference
- Birding was very disappointing. Knowledgebase was basic at best.
- Day 3 was our Departure Day, but the Morning Game Drive was deemed pointless as we would have to Drive past the East Gate to get to where there was some Game, then back to camp to collect our Vehicle, then Drive to the East Gate again - 3 Hrs in total. We then faced a 3 Hr Drive back to Iringa.
In Summary - Poor - Very Poor
