点评：It's been a very long time since we've eaten at Palace Dumplings and the updates to the dining area are very nice, modern, clean. Booths and tables are available. Parties of 5 or more would be challenged to find a seat altogether.
We had 3 kinds of dumplings: lamb w/ onion, beef w/ watercress and pork w/scallion. We preferred the texture of steamed dumplings over the fried bc of the thin dumpling skin on these housemate delights. All the dumplings were juicy, simple but well flavored. The onion in the lamb over powered the lamb flavor but it was still very tasty. DON'T EAT THEM when they first get to your table...let them cool a bit!
The cabbage meatball soup had a delicious savory broth and came with about 6 mini meatballs in it, plenty of shredded Napa and a small amount of noodles.
We also ordered the ketchup low mein. The noodles had a great texture. The sauce was sweet and sour, like our server had explained. It was cooked well but just not our favorite.
Beverages are bottled, not fountain like the menu states.
It's hard to tell if it's seat yourself or wait to be seated. We were confused and saw several walk ins confused too.
Server didn't check on us until we flagged them down to add something to our order. They were very nice, didn't seem annoyed when asked questions and got our orders in accurately. They never returned with the check, we went to the register when we were ready to go.
Discount for paying cash, 3.99% credit card convenience fee...this is annoying but loads of places are doing it.
