Much to my surprise, there was a reservation confirmation for this hotel in my email inbox, one that I definitely hadn't made. For that evening, and too late for me to cancel. Oh, and they had used my points to purchase the room. So I called the hotel directly from baggage claim and explained that I thought my account had been hacked as there was a reservation made while I was 30k feet above the Atlantic Ocean, and the woman on the phone (whose name I regretfully didn't get) said "Oh, we know, and I've already sent it up to the hotel manager to deal with." I was surprised that they knew before me, so I asked her how, and she said they tried to check in to a reservation under my account, but didn't have ID to match. I asked her what I needed to do and she told me to change my password, which I obviously did immediately. I asked her if there was anything else and she said the manager would get back to me. Within a few minutes, the points were back in my account, and within a half hour, I had an email from the hotel manager apologizing. I've had fraud on accounts before, and never have I had this type of service. So kudos to them! If I'm ever in the area, I will stay there for sure.
