点评:I stayed one night at the Fairfield Inn & Suites Staten Island in late March and was very disappointed by the condition and management of the property.
Despite reaching out in advance to request a quiet room and highlighting my Bonvoy Platinum status, I was given a standard room directly across from the elevator, which was loud and faced a self-storage facility with flashing strobe lights all night.
The room was musty, noisy, and poorly insulated, making it hard to sleep. While I asked to be moved, I was told the hotel was nearly sold out—even though upgraded rooms remained bookable online well into the night.
The property overall felt neglected and chaotic. Several guests appeared to be long-term residents, and one individual mentioned he was living out of his car in the parking lot after a fire. Another roamed the halls and ate breakfast in pajamas and curlers.
No bottled water was provided at check-in or in the room, and I had to buy a beverage for $4 from the lobby market.
While the bed was adequate and the breakfast service was decent, the overall experience did not feel like a typical Marriott-standard stay.
I’ve contacted Marriott Customer Care directly and hope they’ll review the management of this location.
