I ordered blueberry pancakes and sausage patties. Wife ordered two eggs scrambled.
It took in excess of 45 minutes to get part of our order. Our waitress even commented she "wasn't sure what was going on with the kitchen".
After a long wait My pancakes were delivered minus the sausage. Wife got two eggs over easy. It was pointed out she ordered scrambled and I had ordered sausage. After about ten minutes my unappealing and uninspred sausage arrived along with wifes flat folded scrambled eggs.
The sausage was obviously pre-cooked product. It even had those perfect pre-painted grill marks. It was also a unatural color. Whatever this was it was grossly loaded with salt. The three pancakes were large. However, the top pancake was nearing burned. Kudos to the kitchen staff for not burying it on the bottom. Thankfully the waitress noticed it. She offered to have them remade. Instead I opted for more butter in attempt to soften them. My wifes eggs had a strange taste also. She couldn't tell if it was a pre-prep egg product or it was cooked on a grill that had not been cleaned.
Our waitress tried the second sausage patty. She kind of looked around for a place to spit it out. She was mortified at the salt level. Again she stated she wasn't sure what was going on in the kitchen. I on the other have plenty of ideas.
This is the second breakfast in 4 months that has been horrible. After 30 years as a occassional patron I won't be returning anytime soon.
I'm well aware of the issues the pandemic has caused regarding prices and supply chain issues. However, this place has become too expensive and frustrating to continue to patronize it. How hard is it to local source your products such as fresh eggs and fresh sausage. In addition to using a pre-cooked breakfast sausage in a small town diner? Come on.
