Bob & Ruth's Vineyard Restaurant的点评
点评：I don’t like to unfairly down a business, so with that said, it was one week prior to their closure for the season;however that still can’t excuse the age, cleanliness,upkeep or general malaise of the restaurant. Started out with a lack of salad dressing, the salad was a very sad offering and one of the only dressings available was an entirely thinned down watery version of what they called French, and it was served in a tiny medicine cup, one would be given an aspirin in. Even the waitress was aware of the paltry salad and offered cottage cheese instead. Cottage cheese was fine. I orders grilled chicken with a choice of bbq or Italian marinade,but then she said, no we have no BBQ, so I said ok then I’ll take Italian, but then she reported after I ordered, oh no we have no Italian dressing either. I ordered a burger, and was yeh. I thought fries would come with it but no the fries were alacarte. My dining companion ordered spaghetti and meatballs, needless to say don’t. One last thing to note. No access to restrooms without two stairs and a long walk through a darkened part of the restaurant and once there it was awful. Two stalls, nothing handicapped and one of the two stalls has a toilet seat that is broken and has a jagged unattended to edge, it is impossible to use it, truly impossible. I was really looking forward to trying this part of history that my grandparents always loved but alas time has taken its toll and I’m afraid this will not reappear on my list of recommended restaurants.
And some might have expected me to talk to the owners ; however, the gentlemen that checked us out(because the waitress asked us to just pay on in the way out, because she was too busy) was the owner and just took our money and never smiled, never asked if everything was ok, in fact he didn’t say anything during the entire transaction. Sorry to have taken up his time. It won’t happen again.
