点评：This is one of the local hidden places down on the dock, where the fresh seafood comes in. It is on the canal but at the end and a mixed view of boats and warehouses. They have both outside and inside INFORMAL dining tables. They have been there for decades and serve no-BS food and decent prices. Do not expect sweet waitresses and frilly extras. It is a fish market that happens to also have a small kitchen with a basic staff. If you go in knowing this and just wanting some decent food without service frills of the big chain name restaurants, you will likely be quite pleased. It has limited parking and you actually have to drive THRU the warehouse to exit. Plus the bathroom is outside and a Pot-o-John type because it is at the end of a dock, so no septic. SO…..all that aside….I stop there at least weakly, usually for the clam chowder. I also often buy their fresh crab cakes to take home and fry with my eggs in the morning. I also buy their fresh shrimp, tuna, and other fish. They also stock frozen crawfish, which is hard to find on LI. Anyway, I’ve been going there for decades. If you wants fancy, eat at the place at the canal, just before you pull down White Cap’s long driveway. If you want a decent, informal hideaway with fresh seafood, continue down the long, somewhat bumpy driveway, along the canal, until you get to the end and enjoy yourself.
