点评:We used to go to Le Chambord many years ago .My cousin was visiting for a short stay and we thought we'd like to try the new Restaurant Six.What a let down.We were 15 minutes late for our reservation which the gracious owner,dressed for a track outing, said was no problem at all.
They were decorating the lovely outside patio with garish Halloween decorations as we entered.Does anyone want to dine on a patio decorated with a dog skeleton?
It was Sunday and a bridal brunch was in full swing in another area. We were ushered into a small,bright room, decorated with 4th class art work but crisp linens. When I tasted my Mimosa,twice to make sure, I knew there was something radically wrong with it.This was confirmed by the waiter who tried some( I guess they were made by the gallon) and said there was indeed something wrong with it.Spoiled orange juice(canned) I would say.
My cousin had onion soup and a very small(mostly frisee) salad.Adequate and $23.00. I had Eggs Benedict (tasting of lemon additive in the Hollandaise sauce)and fried potatoes.Not quite dequate at $18.00. Desserts were quite good. Cuz had a flourless chocolate cake and I had a perfectly done Creme Brulee.($10.00).
I imagine this is a place that is going to be devoted to groups and not fine dining.If they wish to promote fine dining they need a new chef and their owner should dress appropriately for a refined venue.
At any rate, this is a never return restaurant which is a shame.
