点评:We have been to Le Chambord many times in the past, both for dinner and overnight stays. The former proprietor was always warm and welcoming, the service and food consistently exemplary.
This is the first time we have visited since the pandemic. The waiters were dismissive and condescending. Their "performance" was off putting, obnoxious, and intrusive. One waiter's comments about the cocktails were rude and incorrect. He also refused to tell a member of our party the ingredients of her drink. Our party did not receive each course at the same time. 5 of the 7 entrees were cold. The cappuccinos sat on the sideboard in the hallway for several minutes until they were finally served to us; they were tepid at best.
We choose Le Chambord to celebrate a special occasion. It was a great disappointment to us. Because of the pandemic and role of essential workers, we routinely tip generously. We did so on this occasion as well. We deeply regret this as NO gratuity was deserved. Although we have many wonderful memories of Le Chambord, we will not be returning.
