点评:We have been going to the Fire Island hotel for over two decades. Once they sold and became the FIBH, they tripled the price and services are bare minimum at best. Staff is rude and uncaring (except Alexa at the front desk). Even though we booked in March, they had us move to a smaller room after two nights there. They said they no longer had our room we reserved. What!!????
So we moved, not a big deal in the grand scheme of things but the way the staff is so obnoxious, it is a corporate vibe. We used to be able to get towels, now in a room that sleeps 5 we had to ask multiple times for more than two towels. We can’t even get ice for our cooler (as they used to have mini fridges in each room, yet another thing they took away). I don’t mind using the ice machine but that broke two years ago and they haven’t yet fixed it. Yet they have since tripled the price. We paid 2700 for a tiny room with two queen beds and a single. The sheets, comforter and bed was wet with mildew. The air conditioner leaked and made a big puddle in the room. I would never recommend this hotel with the new ownership. It’s overpriced and guests are undervalued! They said we MUST be out by 10:30 and we picked up and asked for them to send someone for our belongings so we could spend time on the beach. It was so urgent that we check out yet we sat there for almost row hours waiting for them to collect our luggage from the room. Doesn’t even make sense why they declined a late check out!!!!
