点评：There was a lot to like at LV! Having both water- AND land-based activities was a real coup. The number of birds and large mammals on the daily morning game drives far exceeded our expectations. We’d thought there’d be more motorboat action, but the highly productive game drives were easily worth giving up some time on the water. These game drives were also far longer in duration than I’ve experienced at any other camp, offering more opportunities to see animals, and traverse different routes each day. The staff at LV made us feel valued and comfortable. There was always a team on hand to offer assistance or answer questions, and they used our names every single time we were greeted. Our tent, number 6, was farthest from the common area, as we had requested. It had a lovely view and was nicely appointed. A variety of antelope roamed freely through the camp, and we even had a close encounter with an elephant, who is affectionately called Bob. We listened through the night to the sounds of hippos bellowing, and an occasional lion roaring in the distance. Camp food was tasty and plentiful. Our guide, Onx, was eager to get us on the animals we most wanted to see, and took what probably should have been his own downtime to bring us fishing when we asked. A unique advantage of staying at LV is that there is reliable Wi-Fi in the tents. This comes in handy for sorting pictures, or sending them home. If I had to do it all over again, I’d pack for hotter daytime temperatures, and the need to shield my skin from the sun. I’d bring elastic-waisted pants, because the food and drink are plentiful, lol. I’d definitely happily stay at LV again, and highly recommend!
