点评：From our landing in a cloudburst at the airstrip, we knew we were in for a memorable trip! Ponchos on, we headed out …Lucky - a fantastic guide, spent the next few days showing us everything from rainbows to an African Wild Cat, baby Ostriches to a young Leopard learning to hunt, and so many great birds, including many owls and raptors. Having the jeep to ourselves allowed us to start early, and spend more time exploring the whole concession. It was great to stop and watch Tsessebe calves gambolling about and young giraffes practising their sparring skills. Lucky, a wonderful teacher and storyteller, provided expert - and funny - colour commentary interpreting the actions of a group of male lions and filled us in on the complex interactions of the local prides. A mokoro trip is a highlight of any Little Vumbura experience, and Frannie ensured we had a lovely evening on the water, patiently helping us find the birds and frogs among the reeds.

Life in camp at Little Vumbura is special. It starts with cool drinks and warm welcome to the camp, and includes amazing accommodations with spectacular views over the delta, superb cuisine, and attention to every small detail. A special feature of our stay were bush brunches with full buffet and bar in beautiful surroundings. We keep coming back to Wilderness because of the wonderful people who make all the magic happen - guides, cooks, mechanics, staff, and managers are all friendly, professional and determined to ensure that every stay is memorable. We enjoyed catching up with those we knew from a previous visit and meeting new members of the team. As a final example of going the extra mile, literally, the head of housekeeping jumped in a boat and met us at the airstrip to deliver a cord we’d left in our tent! It’s stories like this that keep us coming back.
