Magical Moments at Nzumba

点评：We had an unforgettable stay at Klaserie Camps Nzumba Safari Lodge! The food was absolutely amazing — we were so well taken care of and always spoiled with delicious meals, lovingly prepared in exquisite detail by Chef.
Right in front of our lodge was a water hole where we saw hoards of animals up close, like warthogs, impalas, elephants, zebras, giraffes, hyenas and more. It was so special to watch different families of animals come and go, just barely 30m away from us.
The game drives were incredible too. We saw the Big 5 several times, watched two male lions fight just meters away, and even heard a whole pride of lions roaring together all around us like they were doing a roll call. The roars gave us the chills. We also got to witness the lions feasting hungrily on their early morning buffalo hunt.
Watching and silently observing leopards and wild African dogs stalking their prey before waiting to pounce on the impalas made us feel like we were immersed in a National Geographic documentary, with our guide Matt explaining the various animals’ behaviour in a David Attenborough like manner. There was never a moment where we ever felt unsafe, even though we were seated in an open top jeep and just a leap away from the animals.
Matt, together with our superhuman eagle-eyed spotter Thomas and all the staff at the lodge made the whole experience so magical, peaceful, exciting, and full of once-in-a-lifetime moments. Highly recommended!!
