Sometimes you don’t feel like grilling, so just imagine the tantalizing aroma of smoky barbecue wafting through the air as you drive to the back of the building to get to Big Swerve’s BBQ in Westville, NJ. I went with “The Swerve,” a meal deal designed to satisfy even the heartiest appetite. The Swerve promises a feast fit for barbecue enthusiasts, featuring a tantalizing array of meats and sides. I had a half rack of succulent ribs. Next to them lies a generous portion of pulled pork, its rich flavor enhanced by hours of slow smoking. You also find a few slices of thinly sliced brisket, each bite bursting with smoky goodness.
But the indulgence doesn’t stop there. Your meal includes two pieces of juicy jerk chicken, their spices adding a delightful kick to the ensemble. And what’s barbecue without the perfect accompaniments? You’re delighted to find a few pieces of cornbread, their golden crusts giving way to a soft, buttery interior.
As for the sides, you have a trio of tantalizing options. The collard greens, simmered to perfection, offer a burst of earthy flavor with every bite. The “mean beans,” a savory blend of ground beef and baked beans, provide a hearty and satisfying addition to your meal. And let’s not forget the green beans, adding a touch of freshness to balance the richness of the meats.
