点评:I have been wanting to try Cypress Tavern for several years and a trip thru Kinnelon finally gave me the opportunity. They were not busy on a late Sunday afternoon. The maître-d station was vacant, so I walked into the dining room where about half a dozen employees were taking their dinner yet it was about five minutes before another employee offered us a table. The craft beer menu is very impressive with about three dozen different beers, many from local NJ craft brewers. However, they only had about five or six of them available and were even out of stock on a beer from a brewery literally two miles down the road! Their excuse was that “it was Sunday and we ran low.” I have ordered a flaming cheese Saganaki appetizer at other Greek restaurants and was impressed with the flair and drama with which they were served. At Cypress Tavern, the presentation was underwhelming with a portion size to match. They were out of stock on some of the entrée items. The seafood items we ordered were overcooked and bland and the sides were under-seasoned. The “Bleu Moon” burger is supposed to be served with avocado, which I assumed would be fresh; instead, it was delivered with a small ramekin of store-bought, processed “guacamole.” I will not be returning.
