First Tanishq store in USA
Tanishq Jewellers - New Jersey的点评
点评：this is newly opened on Oak Tree Road, Edison. Tanishq is a very popular jewelry brand in India and folks back in India love this brand. Tanishq has been in the US market through e-commerce for over a year and saw the opportunity to open a store. this is the first Tanishq store in the USA..
the two-story showroom offers many unique designs in 18 and 22-KT gold and diamond jewelry, as well as solitaires and colored stones. We came here on Saturday, what a busy day it was. full of the desi crowd like us who loves gold.
On 2nd floor- they have a necklace set, Bangles, diamond bangles, and more
1st floor- Earrings, stud earrings, Rings, Chains, Pendants, and many more
yes, they have set it up very nicely and the collections are really good, especially pendants and Earrings.
though I did not get many options in Gents ring, might I will come later.
Geeta attended us and she was really helpful and helped us in making the decisions.
even though the plan was just to explore the store/ checkout, We ended up buying $2400 worth of items (pics are attached).
and yes, Gold is cheaper here (In the USA), I checked the rate in India, it was INR 5500/gram, and here it's $60.5/gram (roughly INR 4900), so you would save approx INR 5000-7000 per 10 gram if you buy in the USA.
They have their own parking at the back.
Restroom - it's there and it's clean.
Coming to what I did not like-
We used to see the huge Tanishq showroom (3x-4x of its size) back in India so it was a kinda weird feeling seeing a small showroom, also hospitality- I didn't like it.
Tanishq is a part of the TATA group and they are known for their hospitality. here, in the store, no one welcomed us, no one offered water/tea and no one acknowledged our presence. this is very uncommon for brands like Tanishq.
Why I am saying this, is because we get such service/attention in Tanishq-India and I am used to that. I was a regular customer of Tanishq, Gariahat, Kolkata.
We did the whole shopping standing. even if we wanted to have a look at some items, we waited around 20 minutes. I understand this is newly set up, but the space is limited and Saturday-Sunday is a crazy day for the store, so if you can, avoid coming on Sat-sun. It's a full house on weekends.
