点评:The wait was very long, thirty minutes for a regular table, or up to one hour for a special teppanyaki table, where the chef cooks in front of you. The hostess asked me to wait for my table at the bar. One of the managers was helping at the bar, and unbeknown to me, he broke one of the unwritten rules of Benihana: do not serve patrons at the bar, no matter how busy it is. The bartender took a very serious issue with this relaxing of the rules, even although he was so crazy making drinks for tables that he had not even had a chance to take my drink order. The manager took my drink order and my food order. This disturbed the bartender so much that he was seething, and it really felt like he wanted nothing to do with me, and he didn’t make any effort to provide any type of service to me.
The food and drinks were excellent, although they did take a long time, because the restaurant was so busy.
The chefs at the teppanyaki tables are wonderful, and extremely noteworthy for the wonderful cooking and the display for the guests is awe inspiring.
I felt very uneasy because of the situation with the bartender and the other team members. The other team members really did their utmost to salvage the entire experience.
