点评:While on vacation, I look forward to breakfast at the Spray Beach Inn every year for the past 12 years. Ive been vactioning on LBI over 37 years. Breakfast usually is served hot like your mom made it. I dont know, but today was just poor.
We arrived at 8:15am and were the only people in the dining area eating. We were seated in the outdoor awning area, which I loved. Everything (tables, chairs, decor, etc) was redone. Our waitress was friendly and took our order quickly. A simple order of scrambled eggs, white toast, bacon and hash browns with coffee was taken along with the other two peoples order who were with me.
After 5 minutes our food arrived. My bacon was visually over cooked/burnt. I asked our waitress if i could get bacon not so "well done." She said sure. Over 10 minutes passed, and no bacon arrived.
Meanwhile, I ate my breakfast because everything was getting cold, waiting for bacon to come. Finally the waitress came with a plate of bacon, burnt worse than what was originally served.
Our waitress was embarrassed, laughed, and said she told the Cook, that the bacon looks worse. Yet, she brought the bacon to me and said, this is more cooked than the original order. I dont suppose you want it - do you? I replied "no" i dont want it.
Shortly thereafter our check arrived, and despite the lack of edible bacon on 2 occasions, I was billed full price for my breakfast. This is unacceptable and poor service from a Cook who apparently doesnt know what cooked, versus burnt bacon is, and good customer service.
Eventually, after speaking with the hostess about the issue, she said i need to speak to my waitress. My waitress took the bill indicating she will check if she could get a credit for the bacon. Returning with a bill that indicated a small credit around $2.00. Cooking bacon is not rocket science. The unbelievable part is the cook sent out the second order of burnt bacon and the waitress brought it out. l will think twice before going back. Just sad!
