点评：Beautiful and modern NYC like decor. Gorgeous arching bar. Great drinks. Energetic vibe.
Menu is steakhouse with some Mexican undertones. More what I’d expect from a steakhouse in Mexico City than anything I’d describe as a Mexican restaurant, although they do have a few tacos, quesadillas street corn, etc...
Have been numerous times with couples but just went with the kids for first time and everyone has loved it every time. They did recently change the taco dishes from very bright, fresh, open faced tacos to folded over cheesy tacos that were more like quesadillas, which was a disappointment as everyone we’ve been with thought the old short rib tacos were out of this world amazing and we didn’t like the new ones at all. However, we did ask about the change and the owner/chef came over to say they did indeed change and regularly get people asking for the old recipe and if you ask for it they will make it the old way. We very much appreciated that he came to talk to us and they’d be willing to do that next time.
Even if they didn’t have the crowd favorite tacos we used to love, this place is still great. Steaks are perfectly cooked and have very unique and delicious seasoning. Appetizer menu is very seafood heavy which is a good contrast to the steak menu. Also many non steak entrees.
Tips: Ask to sit downstairs or at least in the front half of the upstairs. The back room upstairs was probably built for private parties and has a totally different look and vibe that’s not consistent with the main restaurant. Don’t worry if you can’t get a reservation; put yourself on the waitlist. This is how we get a reservation every time and we’ve yet to not get in off waitlist within 30 min of our desired time.
