点评：My wife read the reviews and wanted to try it out. Been there. Done that. And, sad to say, I don’t need return. We visited early this afternoon, 2/22/25.
The restaurant is pretty standard in terms of location, decor and menu items. I was greatly disappointed in our waitress, who was brusque (almost abrasive). She was not pleasant for a second of our visit… she was curt when I asked for extra crackers for my bisque and an extra napkin. Never smiled. Never said, “you’re welcome” on any of the eight to ten occasions we said, “thank you”. I hope she was just having a bad day… for that reason I won’t mention her name… if the owners care they can deduce who it was based on todays date and our order (below).
The lobster bisque was pretty good. Creamy. No lobster pieces of note in it, but at the price point I didn’t expect any.
My wife’s lobster roll came on a hamburger bun. They only offer the cold variety with mayo - no lobster meat with drawn butter available. The lobster salad would rate a 6 on the 1-10 scale. The French fries and Cole slaw were excellent.
My broiled lobster pie was a real disappointment. The taste was ok, but the lobster was over cooked and pretty tough… it was left on the broiler too long, so a bit of the crumb topping was charred… I had to flake the burnt portions off using my fork as the burnt crumbs adversely affected the taste. The baked potato was small and it, too, had been cooked or re-heated too long… the outer portion of the potato next to the skin was hard and inedible. It looked unappetizing when it was served… it was as bad as it looked.
So, sadly, our experience did not live up to the reviews… not even close. My wife and I go to Rye frequently to visit the beaches and often dine when we are there. Sadly, neither of us foresee a return trip to Petey’s. I honestly hate to leave any semblance of a negative review, but little here warranted a positive mention beyond the fries and cole slaw.

我的烤龙虾派真令人失望。味道还可以，但龙虾煮得太熟了，而且很硬……它在烤架上放得太久了，所以上面的面包屑有点烧焦了……我不得不用叉子把烧焦的部分剥掉，因为烧焦的面包屑对味道有不利影响。烤土豆很小，而且也煮或重新加热的时间太长了……土豆皮附近的外层很硬，不能吃。端上来的时候看起来没有食欲……它和看起来一样糟糕。
