LIBRARY WITH A COZY READING AREA IN FRONT OF A FIREPLACE
North Hampton Public Library And Cultural Center的点评
点评：After visiting the nearby North Hampton Town Hall and Joe’s Meat Shoppe, I stopped by the North Hampton Public Library and Cultural Center.
On the way in from the parking lot, I visited the sculpture of Jaqueline and David F. Mahoney which was outside on the lawn. It was unveiled August 23, 2023. Mr. Mahoney was president of Granite State Minerals in Portsmouth, the company he founded in 1959. The sculpture was sponsored by The Mahoneys’ children.
This was a fairly new library. Its construction was finished, and the Grand Opening was on October 1st, 2021. It was the town’s third library building.
Inside, the librarian greeted me. She was dressed for Halloween as a witch complete with the classic hat.
The library building was fairly large; however, there were several rooms that did not contain books.
There was a very nice sitting and reading space with arm chairs in front of a fireplace toward the back. Nearby were stacks filled with books. There was also a side room with more books.
As expected, the library participated in interlibrary loans and a digital library.
The library also had some meeting rooms.
Overall, I rate the North Hampton Public Library and Cultural Center at 4.50 and can recommend a visit.
The reason for the delay in submitting this review was due to a months-long loss of my ability to post photos with my reviews and some health issues.
