Once we were finally attended to, we settled on Oysters (fried and roasted), Blue Crab Gratin, and Georgia Peaches to start and for entrees: Gaucho Steak and Adobo Pork Cheeks. Cloud Cake for dessert. The food seemed well prepared and was very tasty. The only potential drawback was the cabbage slaw served with the Pork Cheeks. There was quite a bit of it and it was very basic, nothing special or unusual. No dressing or seasoning. Maybe they don't want to detract from the Pork Cheeks? I had a Cosmo (two actually) from the bar which were nicely prepared (by our server) and delicious. My friend had Prosecco and Malbec. The steak, cosmos and the cake were the best. Pork cheeks and appetizers a very close 2nd.
This is my second time eating here after they moved to this location (which has been some time). The last time was in the fall of 2021. These days, it seems difficult to get a seat at a decent hour (before 8PM) so this reservation was booked more than a month in advance. I have had the same server both times. His name is Aaron and while he is friendly, we were not so enamored of his serving skills. This night, we were seated right away but sat at the table for some time (10-15 minutes?) before receiving acknowledgement or water. Overall, during the roughly 2 hours we were there, we did not find him to be observant to our needs -- clearing dishes, refilling water, asking if we needed anything, asking if we'd like another drink, in essence, taking care of us. Completely forgot to place an order for a side dish, brought us lukewarm coffee. The service was sort of a 'meh' experience for both of us.
Bright, open dining room with high ceiling, looks fresh and beautiful but during a full dinner service it gets quite loud.
This restaurant has on the street parking and there are free public lots fairly close by. I think they might have valet available as well.
