点评:Our family of 4 had 3 pizzas and an avocado brunch today. Food was okay, avocado was a bit pureed rather than chunky and mashed and meat feast pizzas were quite average tasting.
But that's not my gripe, even after paying €17.90 for an average size pizza at lunch hour. The bill came to €70.20 and they had automatically added a 10% service charge bringing the total to €77.22. Apparently it's called a discretionary service charge (this was written in small writing at bottom of menu, I found out later). We were a table of 4 with a simple order, not a table of 8 with different drinks orders or questions. And we were in and out within about 45 minutes.
Having Googled it, I know now that we could have asked for the service charge to be removed, but that is an embarrassing thing to do. There was no extraordinary service performed at our table worthy of a tip. We are not America. Pay your staff properly and let the customer decide if they deserve a tip.
I'd never go back again and feel slightly scammed by the experience, even though I'm sure the VP would say, "the terms are on the menu". It's left a bad taste in my mouth.
