1st visit for scuba diving

点评：A fellow diver and I ventured to SC to try out the lake for the first time. Staff on hand were very friendly and helpful. We paid for the onsite parking (best money spent) and took our time suiting up in our matching 7mm wetsuits, yup, wetsuits ! Most if not all of the other divers were in drysuits. We had a well planned dive plan with all the contingencies, which got us through the first dive but it didnt go as we hoped. The one thing no one has control over is the visibility which was really poor. We lost and found each other a number of times thanks to our torches. The 7mm' worked a treat and neither of us felt the cold at all within the suits. At 18m the temp was around 14°c so when we started to get cold in our feet (remember-wetsuits) we simply removed the cause and ascended to warmer waters which was fine. For our 2nd dive we surface swam to the buoy amd went down the line to tge sunken wreck and swam around before setting off for one of the other wrecks and happily found it and it's mascot strapped to the rail. It was a real shame the visibility was so poor but thats part of the scuba adventure. Not everywhere is crystal clear. It is a lovely setting. The dive shop is well equipped and its always good to have a wander around and head spend instead of real spending. Very much looking forward to our next visit.
