点评:This was the site of a farm once, the house foundation has been recreated and recycled brick paving has been used to mark the original location of the farm sheds. A portion of the 1940s garage wall has been reconstructed and made into a downball wall and circular planters mark the location of the wells the Lehmann family used for drinking water. A new windmill has replaced the original one which would have been built in the 1920s. Archaeologists excavating the site found a water pump that may have pumped water from the windmill to the farm... if the pump wasn't there ... they would have made 180 return trips a day to collect water for their dairy herd of 20 cows. The family home was built from bluestone ( thrown up by volcanic eruptions about four millions years ago).
The bush setting is fun to explore with paths for scooters and bikes, a bridge overlooking Edgar’s Creek, BBQs, picnic tables (covered and uncovered) and lots of natural elements to play in. It is an incredible park- thoughtful to the history of the area and one I recommend anyone who loves quirky places to visit.
