点评：We went to Estelle for the first time last night, having seen the name in a magazine somewhere. How did we miss this one?! It's quite near where we live. We were very pleasantly surprised!
Estelle is a neighborhood restaurant in the Mac-Groveland area of St. Paul, and we felt welcome as soon as we walked in--the staff is so friendly!
The wine list provides good choices, and includes wines from Spain and Italy, and included vineyards I had never heard of. Interesting!
We had a pinot grigio from Italy and another white from Basque country in Spain, both very good.
We started with the squash salad--arugula with cooked winter squash, nuts, some cheese, and a lovely applesauce-with-cinnamon-like jam(?) spread around the bowl. Unusual, unexpected, and delicious!
Then we split the mezzaluna (filled pasta) with smoked mussels. Also a bit unusual and delicious!
Meanwhile, Amanda was providing us with great service--professional, friendly, and attentive.
We decided on the budino for dessert--yes-s-s!
What a great evening! We'll be back.
