点评：Our experience this evening was less than favorable, unusual for this restaurant which we’ve visited many times. Most of my dissatisfaction was based on the very poor service. It was my wife’s birthday which I’d noted when making the reservation. I also mentioned the event to our server when we were seated, but no acknowledgement occured during our meal. The staff comprised primarily of young women, were distracting and interrupted the flow of what’s usually a calm, welcoming environment. The clustering of staff near our table in the front of the restaurant was constant. Additionally, several of the staff were not dressed to match the decorum of the restaurant, wearing what appeared to be work-out clothing, The kitchen food servers were also disappointing, displaying zero customer service when plopping food bowls down and then quickly disappearing without offering any additional accompaniments, such as cheese, butter, bread, etc. when asked for bread, we were told that we’d have to wait for our server. The food, while not awful, failed to live up to the price point. The bread for example, was a grainy texture, with an off-putting flavor that wasn’t palatable, made worse because it wasn’t served with butter or oil. The evening special, linguine with langostino in a white sauce, was barely edible, although my wife’s bolognese knocked it out of the park. These inadequacies are not typical and made me wonder if management changes have occurred or if the owner is dealing with fiscal and/or staffing problems. Regardless of the issues, it’s unlikely that I’ll be returning in the near future, since many fine alternative choices are available without the disappointments.
