St Peters Church in Britford in the diocese of Salisbury UK had given a font to the St James Church which had been in use in Britford for two hundred years. Its origin is believed to date as far back as the Saxon era which would make it over nine hundred years old. The church is listed as a State Heritage Place (No. 14058) due to its architectural, historical, and aesthetic significance.
Walking into the tree surrounded grounds felt as if, for the while, the outside world has ceased to be. It was calm and quiet with the wind blowing through the trees and the occasional bird chirping. Worthwhile to discover the peaceful charm of this historic church and cemetery.
