Hampton Inn Monroe的点评
点评：This is another Hampton by the highway. The interstates are dotted with this type of property whether the sign says Hampton or Holiday Inn Express or any of the numerous other brands. This property is pretty basic. It sits in an area with lots of other similar hotels. If you look on Google maps you will see maybe a half dozen hotels within 100 yards. If you're thinking that the Hampton is probably better...think again. It's probably not worse - but not sure it's actually any different.
The fundamentals are fine - the A/C works – it's quiet – and there are a few restaurants nearby. There doesn't seem to be a lot of parking - but maybe it's never full and that isn't a problem.
The day shift staff are great. The night shift staff are less than great. All the reviews talking about staffing issues ring true based on my experience. If you check in and depart during the day you shouldn’t have any issues. If you arrive at night be prepared for unhelpfulness and what seems to be an obvious lack of training. Funny enough when I checked out the day staff asked if check-in had gone well. Apparently they could see something on the computer that slowed them the night shift did things wrong. It sounds like maybe the night shift guy is perhaps a friend of the manager so that may explain things.
Overall I wouldn’t rush to return. The night shift person was unpleasant and the mistakes were annoying - but it's just a Hampton by the highway so my expectations were low - and the service delivered was just a few steps below my low expectations. I might stay here again – or I might instead try one of the half dozen other hotels within 100 yards. I'm not sure if any of the other hotels would be cheaper – but I suspect they wouldn’t be worse.
