Carsons Fish Market, Leland, MI,
Carlson's of Fishtown的点评
点评:Leland's Historic Fishtown
"A charming remnant of 19th-century fishing towns sits on Michigan’s Leelanau Peninsula. (1853...1867)"
Wooden structures line a narrow canal achoring charter boats and fish tugs.
Previously a bustling fishing town, its now on the National Historical Register landmarkI and tourism has replaced all but a few fishermen.
The smoked white fish @Carsons is the best I've tasted, and their fish-sausage is a winner!
If you ever get to try it, I think you'll like it!. Calling it "Sausage" is a misnomer... we think of meat sausage and cant wrap our mind around seasoned, smoked fish in the same form.
It was much like a jerky patė... smoky, seafood-ish, in a very thin. casing (also smoked). A little drier and with a snap & chew.. No fat.
Think smoked jerky... but with fish.
I'd serve it, thin sliced pieces with a triple cream birie cheese or dilled harvarti, plain rice crackers on a charcuterie plate. #ohmy
