Moose & Stella's Cafe的点评
点评：We drove by on a Sunday on our way home from Boyne - I had jumped on YELP to find a breakfast place in Kalkaska and M&S popped up. We saw that the restaurant was busy so I called and asked if they could accommodate 8 of us - 4 adults and 4 little kids. Whoever answered the phone was very pleasant and very accommodating. Instead of sounding annoyed or put out, she genuinely was interested in accommodating us. We had a very short wait while they cleaned off two tables next to each other that had recently been vacated - it worked out perfect.
The restaurant is small but has a lot of seating space - low tops, high tops, and bar seating.
The menu is a good size offering both breakfast and lunch and lots of coffee options.
Our server was awesome (I have a feeling she was the one that answered the phone?) She had such a bubbly and helpful attitude and went the extra mile without prompting. She made sure to place the kids orders first to get them their food, she refilled drinks, split checks - she was on top of it.
Food was great! Kids meals were great portions - eggs, bacon, sausage, potato and toast. I had the quiche special and it was AMAZING. Hands down the best quiche I have ever had - the way it was cooked was perfect. Loved that they offer tomatoes with bsil and balsamic on the side, too.
Hubby had their chorizo, sweet potato, apple hash special and said it was great, as well. The kids pancakes were also huge, the make your own omelette looked great, and the skillet was huge! We all left full and very satisfied.
We don't often stop in Kalkaska for food, but we will definitely be returning to Moose & Stella's when we can!
