Courtyard by Marriott Grand Rapids Downtown的点评
点评：I've stayed here countless times over many years. It's been my go-to place in Grand Rapids. Time for a change.
It's just run down. The rooms are beat up: faded furniture, wood everywhere in the room is scratched and dented, the love seat in each room is worn and tired, the lights all seem dim and all give off a jaundiced, yellow-ish hue.
As for cleanliness, the sheets in my bed were very rumpled (looking more like they'd been slept in before rather than freshly cleaned) and the fitted sheet was barely attached to the mattress.
In the bathroom, my toilet seat had a chip in it (?) exposing some MDF under the white surface, and the shower had lots of splotches of some pink/orange growth, plus other areas with concerning little spots of black. Overhead, a fan vent in the bathroom ceiling had massive clumps of dust hanging out of it. Gross.
This hotel is getting old. The rooms feel run down. It's overdue for a major overhaul. Between the bed and the shower and the clumps of dust, my room didn't feel sufficiently clean. It all needs major work.
The staff are nice. The restaurant is pretty good. But I'm done with the Courtyard. The rooms have been in a slow decline for some time, and it's past the point where I want to come back.
