Despicable Policy When Departing early

点评：Horrible policy at this hotel.
Regardless of the notification after checking in, this hotel will charge a day for any change. Despicable practice.
We were to stay 4 days but had to leave a day early. Gave them a 2-day notice that we needed to depart a day early. The response from the front desk, Oscar, was the policy is to charge a one-day fee regardless of the situation or notification.
When requesting to speak to a manager, Oscar, discounted and ignored my request. I have stayed at Marriotts all over the country. Due to government work and when the mission was completed early, we would sometime depart a day early. Never an issue.
Instead of addressing leaving early without penalty, the only comment is that it is Marriott's policy. The hotel said they opted in on this policy. Oscar's comment was I should read the fine print before booking. Providing a snide comment and stating nothing could be done is a farce.
This is a horrible policy and is a poor reflection of the Marriott brand.
This is the first and only Marriott hotel that I have encountered having this policy and have stayed at Marriotts for over two decades.
