点评：The 876 restaurant is a real find. One wouldn't expect to discover such a diverse menu in the hinterlands of Baldwin. But it's true.
My wife and I opted for the Mussels appetizer (served in a chorizo-white wine broth--make sure to ask for extra toasted bread tips), she had the paper-wrapped walleye (very good, but not great), while I chose the duck (which was holy-moly good). Because the menu is so wide-ranging, it's very difficult to decide what to have. Next time we might go with a group.
The menu also boasts and intriguing list of cocktails, with several wines by the glass, plus several more that are bottle-purchase only.
Service was friendly and unrushed (nice job, Jeremy!).
So why not five stars? First, there is only a limited number of dessert options--in fact there isn't even a dessert menu. That's a bit of a surprise given the robust options for dinner. Second, they don't have decaf coffee. That's another shortcoming.
Still, it's worth the drive from Traverse City, Grand Rapids, or just about anywhere.
