点评:Last night we dined at Five Corners, a local favorite. The restaurant was packed, as it was a Friday evening and the beginning of the weekend.
The service was incredibly slow, which seemed to be routed in the kitchen and was not a reflection of our server at all.
We ordered bread which took just over a half hour - as a result, we asked our server to please remove it from the bill, which he did.
The rest of our meals were also significantly delayed - far too long for a dinner. We asked the our server if he could please take something off our bill because the entire experience was less than optimal. He said he would “see what he could do.”
About 5 minutes later, the owner came out literally questioning our feedback and also saying “I don’t remember anything being delayed.” It was incredibly arrogant.
What he should have done is come out and said, “I am sorry for the service tonight and greatly value your comments and your business. We will be happy to take off one of your meals. We hope you will give us another chance and we look forward to serving you soon.”
Wouldn’t that have been better than to be snarky to a neighbor? This is the exact same reason we stopped going to Five Corners about five years ago - a very similar response from management who clearly could care less about their clientele.
Never again.
