点评：Had not been to Gather since the new owner has taken over. Arrived on time for our reservation. Stood at the door being ignored by the staff walking past us several times. Finally a waitress asked if we had been helped knowing full well we had not. I saw the small table jammed agains the kitchen stairs and requested any table but that one. She seemed very confused until who I assumed was the host finally showed up. They talked to each other like we were not even there. The host then told me if I didn't want that table I should have noted it in my reservation. I offered to wait at the empty bar several times as they talked to each other. We were told we could sit outside, it was 42 outside and we were dressed to dine indoors. Again I asked about the bar and told outdoors was it. I again pressed and asked if we could not wait for a table at the bar could we eat there. He finally said that would be ok. Luckily the bartender is a long time employee and was very warm, welcoming and professional unlike the 2 at the door. Cocktails were excellent. When several of our courses were delivered by the unsmiling unfriendly host he literally dropped the plates on the bar in front of us without a word just a scowl. The dishes we had were all excellent and service from the bartender was beyond excellent. Hospitality completely lacking at the door, if you can get past that your in for good food and good service at least at the bar. Dress warm as you may be sent outdoors into the cold even with a reservation. Really deserves a higher rating for the food and drinks if you can get past the bad taste in you mouth from the host.
