The pros are that it is not the one affiliated with the Diamond cove inn. Also, it isn’t a stuffy place. We sat at the chefs table (ie barstools) and were entertained by the food prep. I feel like I could create a steak tartare dish myself at this point. The line chefs were really nice and seemed very dedicated to the craft. Some dishes were memorable: wedge salad with crab and caviar was oddly good despite the wedge salad. The peas were great. Everyone seemed to be eating the hamburger.
The cons are that most of the dishes were kinda so-so. The wait service is an afterthought. The mixed drinks may not actually contain alcohol. My martini was served in a plastic cup containing about a 1/2 inch of liquid in the small glass—unbelievable for $15. Overall things seem to be largely on autopilot.
