Like a visit to a Maiden Aunts home with food to match!

点评：we stayed one night en route from Boston to Arcadia, calling in without a booking the lady showed us the bedrooms and although very chintzy my wife was too tired to move on and look for somewhere else locally so we took it..We were the only guests this night.
We explained my wife was a coeliac and were told no this was problem.
The bed was very hard and there was nowhere in the room to sit, although we didn't pick up on this earlier so that's our fault and there was a guests lounge.It was also fairly quiet for a b&b on the main rd

Up to now no real problem.
however it all changed in the morning when we went down for breakfast at 8 am. the kitchen door was shut and the place was deathly quiet, so we wandered in the guest lounge and outside making a little bit of noise to see if anyone appeared. Eventually the kitchen door opened and the husband who had obviously only just got up was quite gruff, when asking what we wanted to drink.
The reason i have given this B&B such a low scoring review is that we were not asked what we wanted for breakfast and were served up omelettes, which were completely raw inside, sausage meat, and fresh fruit with a great big dollop of cream on top. I don't even like omelette or cream, so my breakfast was a total disaster. my wife does like omelettes but not when served up in this revolting raw state.
I don't know why we were not offered a choice of egg dishes or any other breakfast dish!!! Coeliacs can eat ordinary eggs and bacon.
Not wanting to upset the hosts who were both in the kitchen area, i actually went up to our room,got a carrier bag and put the two breakfasts into it and put them in a bin when we left.
Oh well, it was certainly an experience, albeit not a nice one. It felt like we were in an episode of the John Cleese Fawlty Towers Hotel TV series.

为了不让在厨房里的主人不高兴，我实际上去了我们的房间，拿了一个购物袋，把两份早餐放进去，离开时把它们扔进了垃圾桶。
哦，好吧，这确实是一次体验，尽管不是一次很好的体验。感觉就像我们身处约翰·克里斯的《弗尔蒂旅馆》电视连续剧的一集中。
