Stolen jewelry and police on site for unruly guests

点评：I am appalled by the security and service. FIRST and foremost, my mother's jewelry was stolen from my coat pocket I had hanging over a chair in the room; my mother's because I was in Maine as she had passed unexpectedly. I was distraught at the time and ordinarily wouldn't have left it. When I called the Freeport Inn/Best Western the man at the front desk said they didn't have a manager and that no one from housekeeping entered my room even though they said no one by my name had stayed there. When I asked who I could speak to I was hung up on. I did get a call from a woman that would not identify herself. She also insisted that I hadn't stayed there and guarantees that housekeeping would not have stolen the jewelry because the housekeeper has been there for ten years. This when I was being accused of not staying there. Again, I was hung up on without any offer of resolution. I hope housekeeping also enjoyed the $20 tip I left. The morning of checkout we couldn't leave our room because police were arresting two people in the room next to ours.
