新奥尔良梅泰里万怡酒店的点评
点评：The room is new and renovated -- I'll give them that -- but nothing else about the stay was good.
First off, the room was this sparse beige institutional look. It was not at all warm or comforting. The bed wasn't that comfortable. There was a single sitting chair, and that wasn't comfortable either.
The room was on the ground floor, with a large sliding glass door. There was a blackout curtain but no sheer curtain. So we had a choice of either sunlight or privacy in the room -- we couldn't have both.
There are a number of kind of boneheaded design decisions. The lack of night light in the toilet room is somewhat dangerous. The towel rack is hanging in front of the sink, so when you are using the sink you are bumping up against used, damp towels -- gross!
There is a Starbucks and paid food bar in the lobby. We had oatmeal one day, it was fine. The thing that got me is that there was no brewed coffee in the lobby during the morning -- only from the Starbucks.
We had a very tiring and busy visit, and hoped for a hotel that was more comforting and rejuvenating. This was not that.
