Disappointing.
Horse Farm Tours的点评
点评：I was so looking forward to this tour and sharing Lexington horse farms with my friends who travelled far to come. Unfortunately, it was a big disappointment. I had requested a tour without going to Keeneland, as I had said we were going the next day. The first thing our guide said as we loaded into the van was "we're headed to Keeneland. Ok, not a big deal. We then drove around and were shown old vacated buildings that apparently at one one time had some horse farm history. We arrived at Keeneland and had to wait around for another couple who was meeting us there. After a rather uninteresting tour - that anyone could have walked around and seen, we got back on the van, We spent well over 2 hours just driving around listening to stories and being directed to look at mansions we couldn't see from the van. We unexpededly stopped at Kentucky Horse Park and were able to see a few very cool draft horses - because our guide said to me "I know you wanted to see horses". Thats what the tour was supposed to be!! We stopped at one horse farm where we were able to get out and mingle with the horses. We were hoping to learn about the horse breeding industry, see some amazing farms, etc. When the website said
"experience a close-up look at the world's premier Thoroughbred horse farms" that was what we were expecting, not spending the majority of the time driving around in a van. I have been on other horse farm tours previously that were amazing. This was not.
