点评：Everything about our evening at Verbena was lovely.
Excellent staff is friendly, efficient, and interacts just the right amount.
Big wine and cocktail menu. Smaller dinner menu means every choice is a winner.
We led off with their nontraditional twist on Porter House rolls - soft, sweet, warm, with everything sprinkles. Then, the baked brie was presented.
The wedge salad may be the best example of its type. Three small wedges of different types of crunchy lettuce - not simply iceberg - with generous amounts of blue cheese, bacon, candied nuts, with cucumber and cherry tomatoes. Excellent.
Our table enjoyed the filet, the short ribs, lobster roll, and tortelli. All were delicious and presented beautifully. Portion sizes were just right to satisfy.
Desserts were terrific, too. The peanut butter pie is practically a mousse; the apple cobbler is subtly spiced and wonderfully apple-forward.
The atmosphere was buzzing, but it was easy to have a conversation. Our booth for 4 was comfortable for everyone.
Connected to a boutique hotel in a new development situated in a park - a former golf course - Verbena provides an upscale, relaxed dinner that will please everyone.
