点评：Pie at Aunt Netters Cafe was recently rated as #4 in the nation. We decided to sample some pie recently to see what pie in the top 10 of the nation tasted like. My husband ordered coconut cream and I ordered chocolate peanut butter. Let's start with the crust on both pies which was flaky and layered just like pastry crust should be. Now lets move to the whipped cream topping on both pies ~ freshly made by hand daily, nothing out of a can. The coconut cream pie had real coconut flakes in the center and toasted coconut flakes heavily sprinkled over the cream. Definitely rated #1 in my opinion. The chocolate peanut butter pie had a rich layer of chocolate cream and a layer of peanut butter cream, topped with the freshly made whipped cream. Deliciousness overload!
In addition to the pie, we ordered the chicken fried chicken sandwich with onion rings. I haven't had freshly breaded and cooked onion rings in forever! These were delicious large slices of onion rings hand-dipped in breading and freshly fried. The fried chicken sandwich is served with pickles, a large slice of tomato and a crispy leaf of lettuce. The sandwich was so large that I had enough for 2 more small meals after our visit. (I didn't want to eat too much of the sandwich, because the pie was my number 1 mission.)
