点评:Wonderful service complimented a wonderful meal and atmosphere. Located in what seemed to be an old Des Moines close to downtown, Aposto is an old home converted into a restaurant. You’d never know it was there except for the sign. Our server seemed to think it was quaint that we were seated over the pasta room in the basement. We had a nice table for two next to a window; and the quiet atmosphere suited us fine. Server was knowledgeable and enthusiastic without attempts at upwelling. And the food? Outstanding mussels in a creamy, buttery sauce with crostini; Osso buco for me and gnocchi for my wife; and delicious cauliflower bisque. Impressive, though limited choices. I think my wife would have tried the cavatelli given a second chance. Gnocchi is OK, but it is essentially just a dumpling disguised as pasta. We will definitely come back. We waited a month for the reservation and were not disappointed.
