点评：In short, everything about this hotel needs to be overhauled but the staff is friendly. I’m closing in on 800 nights at Marriott properties and have been lifetime platinum for 15+ years so I’ve stayed at many of them and I can say that this is one of the worst. We stayed here only because it was near family and I try to stay at Marriott properties (not the same after SPG). The luggage trolley was falling apart. The bars were wobbly and moved. The first room was an executive suite. The sofa bed mattress was very thin and very uncomfortable. I had messaged the hotel at 7am that morning asking them to prepare the sofa bed and they didn’t. When I asked for mattress pads or anything to make it softer, they had nothing. The toilet seat was loose. The bathtub was dirty. The ceiling was peeling. We moved into a double queen room and it was fine, but the toilet seat was loose as well. If executives read this review, please consider moving this hotel up so that it will be quickly renovated. The pool was nice, though the bottom step on one of the stairs into the pool was not stable and you could see how the pool stairs had been repaired. This is a safety hazard. One day there were towels in the pool area; the next day there weren’t any. For the positives, the staff were extremely friendly and the location is right off I-80 so it was convenient to get around the south suburbs. If this hotel won’t be renovated soon, there should be another Marriott property in the area. I was so tempted to stay at the IHG Even Hotel across the street. This hotel should not be the only local option and senior leadership should prioritize a complete renovation.
